Award-winning food writer and unabashed Meatopia founder Josh Ozersky‘s cause of death was finally announced last night, by the Chicago Sun-Times, after an inconclusive initial autopsy. Ozersky, who was prone to seizures, drowned in the shower of the Conrad Hotel the morning of this year’s James Beard Foundation Awards, as the result of a fatal tremor.
His spirit will live on in more ways than one however. Not only will a memorial park bench be established in his honor in Portland, Oregon, but it was also announced yesterday that his carnivore utopia will return to the New York City Wine & Food Festival on Sunday, October 18th, and will again be hosted by Michael Symon.
